Pedalboards

We list several standard models, however, with each player's individual needs and tastes emanates a different pedalboard. While we do recommend several standard dimensions, each has a different character appropriate to it's player.

We can build to suit in most cases with varying options including the following:

Fixed or removable pedalboard surfaces-

Fixed surfaces are mounted directly into the case with a 3 degree incline or O degree (flat) surface.

Removable surfaces allow the player to simply remove the pedlaboard surface from the case for a smaller, neat stage set-up, thus allowing basic storage beneath for cables, picks, strings, etc. The removable surface also gives the player the option of mounting a basic power supply on the underside of the pedalboard allowing for more space on the playing surface.

Finishes-

We have access to most common colors and some not so common ones too. Prices will vary depending on what you wish, but the basics (black, blue, red, green, purple, and cream tolex) are always more affordable. We also offer the increasingly popular “Trucker Finish” which has been road-tested in too many ways and never failed. For heavy touring, this is a great alternative to the standard ATA-type case, but with more personality. All cases and surfaces are constructed from ½” 3-ply birch.

Options/Accessories-

While we encourage any and all ideas to ensure satisfaction, we also want to factor in the overall practicality and will make recommendations based on such. We do not currently hard-wire pedalboards but will recommend power options supplied by specific vendors (additional cost to the pedalboard). We have currently been recommending several power sources (One-Spot, VooDoo Lab Pedal Power, Dunlop DC Power Brick) with excellent results and feedback. Some pedalboards may also allow for an additional four-gang power supply to accommodate larger power supplies such as the Line 6 adapters and ‘wall wart’ adapters.

We also offer a microphone/sheet music stand adapter mounted directly to the pedalboard surface. This has been road-tested with a mic stand with very solid results (no rocking or instability) and as a sheet music stand as well. This option is very handy on smaller club stages or in a setting where many band members may share limited space.

Hardware-

All hardware is extremely solid from corners to latches and handles.

We offer both standard and key-lock latches, various handles (vintage, standard and industrial), ball corners and Velcro brand hook and loop.

Your input-

Any good custom shop reserves the right to abandon all aforementioned ideas in the effort to try and meet a creative customer’s ideas and needs.

At the end of the day, we actually do build boxes, but prefer to think outside of them.
